United Religions Initiative visited DREP Centre from USA.

Liam Chinn the Co Director of global programs, evaluation and learning for United Religions Initiative (URI) came from USA with URI team and visited DREP Centre. They visited so as to document DREP executed and ungoing activities, so that our success stories, and works can be shared across the globe. Then to also strengthen our collaborations and partnership. He was accompanied by Dr. Emmanuel Ande Ivorgba, URI West Africa Regional Coordinator, their camera and recording crew.

URI visitors at DREP Centre auditorium. "Da Cypher" one of Jos City biggest poet artist performed along side an Ex student of St Loius College called Comfort Iorkyase. She made a presentation titled "If I Was A President".

We had some of our community resource persons from Barkin Ladi, and Jos South, as participants who also came to DREP to welcome our visitors from URI.

Participant shared the experience the had during the crises, and how DREP intervention programs have brought peace in their communities. They also asked DREP Director questions about their recent concerns on how to further deepen our intervention programs for sustainable peace. 

After the brief event, Mr Liam and Dr Emmanuel had a brief indoor meeting with Director of DREP, and our Program Manager Chris Ogbonna. They discussed on how DREP Centre and URI can better collaborate together to help work towards achieving sustainable peace in Plateau State.

DREP Project Officer Mr Prosper Egeonu Co ordinator of Jos North LGA activities, led the team of URI to Jos North where they can meet our community resource persons and share success stories on how we worked together to restore peace at their communities. We also visited the famous Yan Doya market at Delimi/Gangere area where we had made effort to bring back trust between the Christain and Muslims traders and today they now coexist and do business together again.

We want to thank all our DREP Staff who worked tirelessly to ensure that all DREP activities are efficiently carried out.
